Availability, fees and terms
Availability
Online sessions are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and in-person sessions are on Thursdays. Please email for current availability.
Weekly appointments
Therapy sessions are arranged weekly at the same regular time and day. Please see What is Counselling/Psychotherapy? for more information.
Cancellation policy
You need to provide at least 48 hours advance notice of cancellation of a session; any less than 48 hours and the full fee for the missed session is charged.
Accessibility :
My therapy room is on the second floor (31 steps), unfortunately there's no lift so it is not wheelchair accessible.
Fees
Fee is £80 per session (50 Minutes). Payment by bank transfer on the day of the session.
I hold a few reduced fee spaces for those on low incomes and students. These are daytime, online sessions only. Please ask if this applies to you.
Private Health Insurance schemes
I only take on a limited number of Health Insurance clients at one time and currently all these spaces are taken.
I'm an approved provider of psychotherapy and counselling for AXA, AVIVA and also work other insurance providers. You need to provide your Insurance membership number and authorisation code at your first session.
Fee for Health Insurance clients is £85 a session. Be aware that Health insurance does not cover late cancellation or missed session fees for which you are liable, these paid directly to me. Please read my cancellation policy.
Employment assistance schemes (EAP) and Employer Wellbeing funds
Check with your employer if the EAP scheme is available in your workplace as it may cover the cost of therapy. Some employers have a Wellbeing fund which will reimburse employees for a limited number of therapy sessions - worth checking with your employer.
Ethical code
I abide by the UKCP Code of Ethics.
Confidentiality
In line with the UKCP code of ethics I abide by, sessions are confidential except under three circumstances. 1) If I believe you are at risk of harming yourself or others, I may need to break confidentiality in order to prevent harm. This would only happen in extreme circumstances and I'd try to discuss it first with you. 2) It's standard practice for all psychotherapists to discuss their work with a clinical supervisor, from time to time, this helps me to work as well as I can with you. Your details are anonymised and supervision meetings are bound by the same code of ethics and confidentiality as I am. 3) If required by a court of law to give evidence (e.g. in criminal proceedings).
GDPR
As required by the The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), my practice is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
